First home match of the season saw new Head Coach, Nick Barton’s new squad at home with an anticipated tough fixture v old adversary Braintree.

The Essex side came with 5 new players in their match day squad who all contributed to what was an excellent match.

The new 🐝 squad found themselves 4 goals behind by half time and despite a valiant second half effort, the visitors left as worthy winners of all 3pts.

Goal difference may well be important come the end of the season so the result saw Cambridge finish the day in 9th position in the National Futsal Series T2 (South) table, still a positive for all concerned.

Next match is a long away journey to promoted side Dorset.
