In reality it should never had been so close, after a tight first half Cambridge took control and after dominating the first 10 minutes of the second period had Escolla on the ropes leading 5-2.
The visitors kept fighting though, eventually leveling the game with a couple of minutes on the clock, Cambridge were left wondering how they had let their lead slip. Both teams found themselves on 5 fouls in the final minutes and ultimately a poorly timed Escolla challenge proved to be the difference between the teams. Martinez for the second match running grabbing a late goal to the delight of the home team and fans and to the despair of the visitors!
