Cambridge welcomed MK Mavericks on Sunday to a well supported FA National Futsal Series T2 home league match at the University of Cambridge Sports Centre. It was nice to see several away supporters had taken the opportunity to travel to Cambridge to cheer on their side together with what are now some regular faces in the noisy home crowd.
The teams last met back in November at the magnificent Stoke Mandeville Stadium where the Bees flew back home 4-5 winners in a close contest so this reverse fixture was anticipated to be close.
4-3 ahead at Half Time, the second half proved to be decisive in deciding the result with the away team able to dramatically score 3 more goals with disappointingly none in reply from the home side.
Infact, Mavericks secured a 10m penalty after the 6th foul of the half was awarded against ANGEL Martinez who was also booked. Fortunately, for the Bees, it was hit wide but made no difference to the final result.

The men are next in action in a fortnight in the final home match of the season v Birmingham WLV. One things for sure. There will be goals!
