End of the road…

Cambridge Futsal Women 4 Rushmoor Futsal Women 6

Local Futsal fans filled the balcony rafters at Cambridge University Sports Hall this weekend to support the Cambridge Futsal Women's team as they hosted Hampshire based Rushmoor Futsal Club in the second leg of their FA National Futsal Series cup tie.

The Bees were 11-8 down from the first leg and got off to a quick start with goals from Natasha Collins and Eve Seyf giving them a 2-0 lead. The visitors rallied back with 3 unanswered goals as the home side tried to chase down the deficit from the first leg.

An end-to-end second half filled with goalmouth action also saw Emily Smith grab a goal on her return to the team from injury, but visitors Rushmoor came out on top with a 4-6 scoreline and progressed to the Quarter Finals where they face T1 top club, Birmingham WLV.

1 more league match left for the 🐝 Women which is due to be played at the beginning of May hosted by home side Bedford. All most welcome to come along & cheer them on.
