Head Coach departs

Cambridge Futsal Club Head Coach, Luis Mendonca,has released the below statement:

"Dear All,

Unfortunately, after 8 extraordinary seasons, I came to the conclusion that it’s time for me to move on from Cambridge Futsal Club and look for different projects with renewed energy and motivation.

It’s been one of the most enriching experiences of my life and for that I would like to thank all the people that made this project possible: sponsors, fans, volunteers, parents and above all… players.

All we achieved wouldn’t be possible without an extraordinary group of people

It was fun to ride along you!!!

*2016*- cham div2, and prom playoff winners, semifinals of the FA cup final;

*2017* - first round of the playoffs (NFL - tier 1)

*2018* - 3rd in the NF Super League (tier 1)

*2019* - Futsal FA cup Final  (runners up);

*2020* - top 3 by the time of lockdown in the National Futsal League (venue requirements forced the club out of the new NFS)

I’m sure you will continue the good work and I will forever be your fan and supporter.

“Lets compete”

Luís Mendonça"

The Club MC would like to place on record our appreciation for all his hard work & effort on & off the court over the years & in particular the lasting memories of playing in the FA Futsal Cup Final at St.George's Park back in 2019 when the club were known as Cambridge Utd FC Futsal.

The Club MC wish Luis all the very best in his future endeavours in futsal.
