With Head Coach, George BALL leading the scoring with 4 goals to his name, the š managed to avoid relegation by securing a win v London Bloomsbury B and thereby their FA National Futsal Series T2S status for another season.
A pulsating, end to end match was enjoyed by a good, noisy crowd who were entertained by both teams from start to finish with goal mouth action.
With 2 mins to go, despite having been in the lead for much of the match and even by 2 goals at one point, the š were trailing 7-8 & relegation loomed owing to earlier results in the League.
However, with a never say die attitude & application, Alfonso LANZA managed to secure the winning goal and the š held on to this most valuable of wins to the delight of all involved.
One game left nowā¦away to Champions & Cup Finalists,London Genesis.
Certainly NO easy games in this highly competitive & enjoyable competition!
