Angel Martinez gave the visitors the lead early in the first half, but Wessex grew into the game and took control going in 4-1 up at half time.
The Bees fans in the crowd feared the worse, but the visitors came out fighting in the second half playing mainly with a fly keeper they dominated the early stages and hit back to reduce the deficit to one goal, the game was now in the balance, but playing fly is always a risk and as the visitors tired the home team capitalised and extend their lead.
